In-home and In-clinic Mental Health Services
Heritage Clinic provides psychotherapy and other psychological services to meet the special needs and circumstances of older adults, including frail elders.
Services are available for low-income seniors, and are funded through the Short-Doyle plan of the county of Los Angeles. Medi-Cal is accepted. Heritage Clinic services are available on a sliding scale basis. Medicare and other insurances are accepted.

- In-home psychotherapy for frail seniors who are unable to travel to a center/office.
- Psychotherapy in the clinic for older individuals, couples, families, and groups.
- Coordination of care with other service providers and mental health care management.
- Community outreach and referral.
- Psychological assessment and neuropsychological evaluation.
- Psychiatric medication services.

Seniors aged 60 or older and their families.

Intensive Mental Health Services
Heritage Clinic provides intensive mental health services with older adults in parts of Los Angeles County and all of San Diego County. In partnership with the Los Angeles and San Diego County Departments of Mental Health, these extended services are delivered through a Full-Service Partnership for Older Adults Program. The Clinic extends its field-based mental health services to seniors by providing “whatever it takes” as decided in partnership between elder and clinical team to support older adults with the most serious mental health difficulties.

Elders whose optimal independence has been jeopardized by at least one of the following:
- Homelessness and imminent risk of homelessness
- Hospitalization and risk of acute psychiatric hospitalizations
- Incarceration and risk of going to jail
- Imminent risk of placement at a Skilled Nursing Facility or nursing home
- Presence of co-occurring disorder
- Recurrent, serious risk of abuse or self-neglect
- Serious risk of suicide

Elder Abuse Services
(Pasadena)
In the city of Pasadena, several preventative services are available to older and dependent adults who are at risk of abuse and to organizations that serve older and dependent-adult residents. In the Pasadena area, multiple interventions are accessible to elders and dependent adults who are victims of abuse, whether the abuse is a civil or criminal matter.
How Do I Pay?
Services are provided at no cost to participants. Preventative and victim services are funded by the city of Pasadena in partnership with the CEMA Cash Region.

- Abuse related psychotherapy available at home, community centers, or The Center for Aging Resources' Pasadena office
- Advocacy (e.g. , court accompaniment) for victims of elder abuse,
- Hands-on linkage to supportive services for those who are at risk of, or are victims of, elder abuse,
- Elder abuse awareness workshops for lay and professional audiences,
- Outreach in the community to facilitate access of services, and
- Support groups for at-risk older adults.

Hours Available
The Center's offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm.
Appointments are available by arrangement in clients homes,
at The Center for Aging Resources or at community based sites.
