Elder Abuse Services
(Pasadena)

In the city of Pasadena, several preventative services are available to older and dependent adults who are at risk of abuse and to organizations that serve older and dependent-adult residents. In the Pasadena area, multiple interventions are accessible to elders and dependent adults who are victims of abuse, whether the abuse is a civil or criminal matter.


SERVICES OFFERED

  • Abuse related psychotherapy available at home, community centers, or The Center for Aging Resources' Pasadena office
  • Advocacy (e.g. , court accompaniment) for victims of elder abuse,
  • Hands-on linkage to supportive services for those who are at risk of, or are victims of, elder abuse,
  • Elder abuse awareness workshops for lay and professional audiences,
  • Outreach in the community to facilitate access of services, and
  • Support groups for at-risk older adults.


HOURS AVAILABLE
The Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:03pm.  Appointments are available by arrangement in clients homes, at the Center or at other community sites.


WHO MAY PARTICIPATE?
Older and dependent adults who are victims of abuse in the Pasadena area. All services are available in English, Spanish and Armenian.


HOW DO I PAY?
Services are provided at no cost to participants. Preventative and victim services are funded by the city of Pasadena in partnership with the Governors Office of Emergency Services.
